Accepting these terms
By accessing or using PrimeSanta, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Notice. If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you use PrimeSanta for an organization or another person, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for them.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be able to form a binding agreement where you live, or use PrimeSanta with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. You are responsible for your account, magic-link access, invite links, and activity performed through your session. Tell us promptly if you believe your account or an invite has been compromised.
What PrimeSanta provides
PrimeSanta is an organizer for Secret Santa exchanges, wishlists, private gift planning, and contribution records. It is not a retailer, payment processor, bank, escrow service, money transmitter, delivery provider, or guarantor of a gift or reimbursement.
Groups, invitations, and content
Organizers are responsible for inviting appropriate people and setting clear expectations for an exchange. You may submit only information and links you have a right to share. Do not put payment credentials, government identifiers, health information, or other unnecessary sensitive information into group names, notes, wishlists, or similar fields.
You remain responsible for your content. You give PrimeSanta permission to host, process, and display it only as needed to operate and improve the service.
Secret draws and privacy expectations
PrimeSanta is designed to keep assignments and recipient-specific gift activity appropriately limited. You must not try to discover another user’s assignment, hidden gift goal, contribution, shipping information, or other restricted data. You also agree not to disclose a surprise you are permitted to see.
No software can guarantee that another participant will keep a secret or that a surprise will never be inferred. Do not use PrimeSanta for situations where disclosure could cause serious harm.
Pledges, Venmo, and reimbursements
PrimeSanta does not process, transmit, hold, settle, reverse, or verify payments. A pledge is a statement of intent, and a “sent” status is self-reported by the contributor. It is not proof that funds were delivered, accepted, or available.
Any transfer happens directly between users through Venmo or another arrangement outside PrimeSanta. Users are responsible for confirming the correct recipient, amount, transfer status, fees, refunds, disputes, tax treatment, and compliance with the third party’s terms. PrimeSanta is not responsible for mistaken, missing, unauthorized, delayed, or disputed transfers.
Amazon links and affiliate disclosure
Wishlist and purchase links may lead to Amazon. Product details, pricing, availability, shipping, returns, warranties, and purchases are controlled by Amazon and the relevant seller, not PrimeSanta. As an Amazon Associate, PrimeSanta earns from qualifying purchases. This does not increase the shopper’s price.
Acceptable use
You may not:
- Break the law, impersonate another person, harass users, or organize fraud.
- Probe, bypass, or interfere with authentication, invitations, permissions, recipient secrecy, or security controls.
- Upload malicious content, automate abusive traffic, scrape restricted data, or disrupt the service.
- Use PrimeSanta to process payments or represent its records as verified financial records.
- Submit links or content that are deceptive, infringing, unsafe, or unrelated to the exchange.
Third-party services
Amazon, Venmo, Supabase, hosting providers, and other third parties operate under their own terms and privacy practices. PrimeSanta does not control and is not responsible for their services. A link or integration does not imply endorsement by that third party.
Beta availability
The beta is provided on an evolving basis. We may add, change, suspend, reset, or remove features and test data. We may also limit access to protect users or the service. We will use reasonable care, but do not promise uninterrupted availability or preservation of pre-launch data.
Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, PrimeSanta is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that every surprise, purchase, transfer, or delivery will work as hoped. Rights that cannot legally be disclaimed still apply.
Limits of responsibility
To the extent permitted by law, PrimeSanta and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; lost gifts, funds, data, or goodwill; or third-party purchases and transfers arising from the service. Nothing here limits liability that applicable law does not allow us to limit.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using PrimeSanta at any time. We may restrict or end access if needed for security, legal compliance, abuse prevention, or a violation of these Terms. Provisions that logically continue after termination—including payment boundaries, disclaimers, and limits—will continue.
Changes
These Terms may change as the service develops. Material revisions will be reflected by the date above and, when appropriate, an additional notice. Your continued use after revised Terms take effect means you accept them.
